A day full of learning, excitement, and inspiration – that’s what the girls from Seva Sadan Home experienced during their enriching visit to Atlas SkillTech University, located in the heart of BKC. This visit was an opportunity to explore the various departments at the university, including the School of Design, Engineering, and Business, offering the girls a firsthand look at the diverse and dynamic world of higher education.
The event was thoughtfully planned and organized by the university’s students, who ensured that the experience was both engaging and well-structured. The day kicked off with a comprehensive campus tour, where the girls had the chance to explore state-of-the-art facilities and get a feel for the vibrant campus environment.
After the tour, the girls were treated to a delightful meal, which gave them a chance to relax and reflect on what they had already experienced. The most exciting part of the visit came next – the Rover project presentation. This groundbreaking project, developed by Atlas SkillTech University students, is set to compete internationally at NASA’s prestigious competition. What makes it even more special is that the team from Atlas SkillTech is the only group from India selected for this competition.
The students of Atlas University took the time to share their incredible journey of designing and developing the Rover, highlighting the innovative technology and collaborative effort involved. The session was interactive, allowing the Seva Sadan Home girls to immerse themselves in the process. Some of the girls even got a chance to participate in a hands-on activity where they used CAD software to design the tyres for the Rover – a unique and inspiring experience for them.
To make the experience even more memorable, the main Rover was brought out and showcased at the end of the session. The girls had the opportunity to get up close and personal with this cutting-edge innovation, which left them awe-struck and motivated.
The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the special interaction with Mrs. Indu Shahani, the President & CEO of Atlas SkillTech University. She took the time to address the girls and offered words of encouragement and inspiration, motivating them to dream big and aim for greatness in their own journeys.
