Running for a Cause: Gagan Banga’s 18th Mumbai Marathon Supporting Seva Sadan Society

The annual Mumbai Marathon (TMM) is not only a significant sporting event but also a platform that brings the city together for a greater cause. This year, Mr. Gagan Banga, a dedicated runner, participated in it for the 18th time, running the half marathon with pride while supporting Seva Sadan Society. His commitment to the cause goes beyond just running; he used this event to raise funds and awareness for Seva Sadan, a cause that his family has supported for years.

Through his participation, Gagan not only raised funds for our organization but also made a significant pledge: for every rupee collected, the Banga family committed to matching it with their own contribution. The amount raised will go a long way in supporting the initiatives of the Seva Sadan Society, helping to further their important work.

“I have seen Seva Sadan support thousands of young girls. The empowerment they facilitate is transformational,” said Gagan. “It was an honor to be able to use the platform of TMM 2025 to do my bit for this great institution. My best wishes to the children empowered by Seva Sadan!”

In addition to raising funds, Gagan also sponsored bibs for three of our girls and a staff member, who participated in the Dream Run. The girls, who took part in the non-competitive event, had a memorable experience, and Gagan’s thoughtful gesture added to the positive energy surrounding the day.

This act of kindness and dedication reflects how sports and charity can come together to create meaningful impact. Gagan Banga’s involvement in the Mumbai Marathon this year is an inspiring example of how an individual can contribute to society in ways that extend far beyond the race itself.
